About Air Salon

Air Salon is a volunteer project to collect and map resources for covid-cautious people on lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ territories, aka Victoria, BC, Canada.

Maybe there’s a city out there for us.

Most covid-cautious people know a few helpful local resources. A grocery store that delivers, a hair salon that keeps the windows open, a dentist where the staff wear N95s, an online group for long covid patients. If we gathered all our tips together, how much of a city would it make? Would listing it all help other spaces see what is possible?

We know that the only way to have true “covid safe” places is to work together to eliminate the virus and cure long covid.

In the meantime, we are sharing local projects that practice at least one good layer of covid protection or long covid inclusion, such as increased ventilation, livestreaming, outdoor or no-contact options, HEPA air filters, or mutual masking.

Events

We organize group mapping and directory-building events. Some are outdoor walks, and some are phone or research blitzes you can do from home.
